2015 Notice to Residents:

Alba PD - City ordinance #75-7-1 reads that "it shall be unlawful for the property owner to allow weeds, grass or brush to accumulate or grow higher than 18 inches upon their property and it shall be the duty of the property owner to keep the area clean to the curb line or edge of the pavement and this includes the ditch in front of your property".  Any violation of this ordinance is punishable of a fine up to $200.00

Garbage dept - You may not put rocks, bricks, dirt, leaves/grass clippings, drywall, insulation, lumber, shingles, batteries, tires, animal carcasses, furniture, swimming pools, electronics, fish carcasses, food from freezer, or ashes in your polycart.  Items such as these are not considered to be household garbage".

Water & Sewer dept - Here is the schedule for water, sewer and garbage services billing:

  • Bills are sent out on or around the 20th of each month.
  • Bills are due on the 10th of the following month (you have until 9:00 am on Monday if the 10th falls on a Saturday or Sunday).
  • Cut-off notices are sent out on the 11th of each month notifying that cut-offs will be on or around the 16th of each month.
  • If we have to come to your location on cut-off day, you will be charged a $50.00 reconnect fee.
  • If we get called after hours to restore your service, you will be charged a 75.00 reconnect fee.
